Berry Smoothie Bowl
Thick fruit smoothie topped with granola, berries, banana, and chia seeds.
Instructions
Prepare toppings
Hull and slice the fresh strawberries, then measure out the blueberries, granola, chia seeds, and hemp seeds into small prep bowls so they are ready to use.
Build the blender base
Add the frozen mixed berries to the blender.
Add the frozen banana slices on top of the berries.
Pour in 1/4 cup of almond milk.
Add maple syrup if you prefer a sweeter bowl.
Blend the base
Blend on high for 20 seconds, then stop and scrape down the sides with a spatula.
Blend again on high for 30 to 45 seconds until completely smooth and very thick — it should be thicker than a drinkable smoothie.
If the blender stalls, add almond milk one tablespoon at a time, but keep the base as thick as possible.
Divide the base
Spoon the blended base evenly into two wide, shallow bowls.
Add toppings
Arrange the sliced strawberries and fresh blueberries in a row or cluster on one side of each bowl.
Spoon the granola in a strip across the center of each bowl.
Sprinkle chia seeds and hemp seeds evenly over each bowl.
Drizzle almond butter over the top of each bowl.
Serve immediately
Serve right away before the base begins to melt — eat with a spoon like a thick porridge.
